Lynn Ursic brings together her work as a design professional and yoga teacher in this fun, light- hearted afternoon exploring Boro, the Japanese craft of mending something tattered. You will learn the running stitch that is used to reinforce clothes and recycle the used clothes into household objects and eventually cleaning cloths.

+ Come together as a community to make with our hands.

+ Learn new skills to re-purpose old garments and bring them back to life.

+ Encourage postural alignment for all types of seated work.

+ Practice techniques to help prevent wrist or hand strain.

+ approach hand sewing as a moving meditation.

Bring your favorite old jeans or any garment to mend (you can even cover a stain) plus any additional used cloth that you love for patches. Sewing supplies + tools provided- but please feel free to bring your sewing basket too.

Never sewn a button - learn the basics | Experienced - grow your skills and learn healthy habits
